Northwestern University’s Guidelines for Access to Student Records are based upon the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and are stated in the Northwestern University Undergraduate Catalog. The Office of the Registrar and the Bienen School of Music Office of Student Affairs are designated as custodians of educational records. The Bienen School of Music follows Northwestern University’s classification systems regarding undergraduate, graduate, full-time, and part-time student designations.
