The Contemporary Music Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble present one of Steve Reich’s most iconic works, Music for 18 Musicians.

Steve Reich, winner of the 2016 Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize in Music Composition, discusses his first Bienen School residency with conductor Alan Pierson.

The Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, Bienen Contemporary/Early Vocal Ensemble, University Chorale, and Anima: Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus joins forces for this concert conducted by Donald Nally.

A total of 80 student musicians joined forces to present the Midwest premiere of “Sila: The Breath of the World” by John Luther Adams.

Mallory Thompson leads the Symphonic Wind Ensemble in a performance of …and the mountains rising nowhere (1977) by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Joseph Schwantner ’66 MMus, ’68 DMus.
