Zachary Good ('23 DMA) is the clarinetist of Eighth Blackbird, a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, and a founding co-artistic director and member of performance collective Mocrep. He has frequently performed with the International Contemporary Ensemble, Music of the Baroque, Milwaukee-based ensemble Present Music, and Manual Cinema. Good has composed numerous works for clarinet and premiered more than 125 compositions. He serves as the visiting assistant professor of clarinet at Northern Illinois University, instructor of clarinet at Harper college, and a woodwind chamber music coach with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. In this performance, Good premieres new works by Bienen student composers.
