Bachelor of Music: Tenor Trombone

Prescreening required; must be video recording. Video should be shot from left side so mouthpiece is clearly visible.

Prescreening and audition unaccompanied.

Fall 2024 Audition Dates: 

Regular Decision: February 9-10, 17

Fall 2024 Audition Formats:

All applicants whose program requires an audition are asked to audition on campus. Virtual auditions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants should wait to receive their prescreening results before contacting the Office of Music Admission about virtual audition options.

For Prescreening and Final Audition:

All repertoire required. No substitutions.

  • Solo Selection: Saint-Saëns, Cavatine, Op.144

Orchestral Excerpts:

  • Berlioz, The Damnation of Faust  “Hungarian March” (second trombone)

  • Mozart, Requiem “Tuba Mirum” (second trombone)
