- Two études with contrasting tempos by Barret or Ferling
- Two or three contrasting standard orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice
- Two solo selections of the applicant's choice (if the applicant selects a work that has multiple movements, it is not necessary to prepare the entire piece)
