Bienen faculty members Robert Morgan (assistant principal oboe for the Lyric Opera Orchestra and principal oboe for Music of the Baroque and the Chicago Philharmonic) and Stephen Alltop (music director of the Apollo Chorus and Green Lake Festival Orchestra) are joined by special guests for an evening of Baroque chamber music. Their program highlights music of two of the era’s master composers—Georg Philipp Telemann and George Frideric Handel—who admired each other’s music and maintained a half-century-long friendship.

Tickets are $8 for the general public and $5 for students with valid ID.

Located in the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, this 400-seat hall features a 40-foot glass wall offering views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
