Bachelor of Music: Musicology
For Prescreening and Audition:
All BM Musicology applicants must submit prescreening materials (if required for the applicant's instrument) and complete a performance audition on their primary instrument. Prescreening and audition repertoire requirements may be found here (select your instrument from the list). In addition, the applicant should submit the following:
- One high school research paper, preferably on a musical subject. Research papers on non-musical topics will also be accepted.
- A brief essay describing the applicant’s musical background, interests, and goals. It should include performance experience, repertoire with which the applicant is familiar, training in music theory and history (if applicable), and study in any related areas.
All of the aforementioned materials are required and should be uploaded to the Bienen School Supplement.
