The PEN Trio bridges the divide between performance and scholarship to bring the woodwind trio to life. Known for the quality and energy of its performances, the group regularly tours throughout North America and abroad, engaging audiences with thoughtful conversations about the music being shared. The trio has appeared at annual conferences of the International Double Reed Society, ClarinetFest, and the National Flute Association. Its debut album, Found Objects: New Music for Reed Trio, was released in September on the Summit Records label and features works composed for the ensemble by William Bradbury, Jenni Brandon, M. Shawn Hundley, and Aleksander Sternfeld-Dunn.
