London’s Sunday Times declared tenor Michael Fabiano’s Royal Opera performance in Eugene Onegin “a glorious debut.” Time Out Sydney praises his “voice of astonishing lucidity.” The recipient of the 2014 Beverly Sills Artist Award and the 2014 Richard Tucker Award, Fabiano has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Opera Australia, Madrid’s Teatro Real, Opéra National de Paris, La Scala, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the Glyndebourne Festival. Last season he made his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Rodolfo in La bohème, his role debut as Faust in Boito’s Mefistofele, and his debut in the title role of Werther with Opera Australia. His 2019–20 season includes Manon at the Met, Don Carlo and Les contes d’Hoffmann at Opéra Bastille, and La traviata at Teatro Real.

Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
