Joseph Robinson Oboe Lecture

Longtime principal oboe of the New York Philharmonic, Joseph Robinson appears extensively as soloist, chamber musician, teacher, and clinician throughout the US. He coaches and teaches each summer at the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Robinson has performed under the baton of such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Sir Andrew Davis, and Neeme Järvi and has appeared with artists including Pinchas Zukerman, Itzhak Perlman, and Sylvia McNair. He was the last American oboist to study directly with Marcel Tabuteau, long considered the patriarch of the American school of oboe playing.Free Event

The Regenstein Master Class Room is located in the Regenstein Hall of Music, directly adjacent to the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts. Seating 200, the room hosts hundreds of performances and other events each year.
