Active as both a soloist and chamber performer throughout the US and around the world, Steven Cohen is the former principal clarinet and frequent soloist with the New Orleans Symphony, later known as the Louisiana Philharmonic. Previously the associate principal horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Lyric Opera Orchestra, Gail Williams is currently principal horn of the Grand Teton Music Festival. Robert Morgan serves as solo English horn and assistant principal oboe for the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, as well as principal oboist for Music of the Baroque and the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra. Joining these Bienen faculty performers is Chicago Symphony Orchestra assistant principal bassoon William Buchman.

Located in the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, this 400-seat hall features a 40-foot glass wall offering views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
