The Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music is one of the top institutions
of its kind, offering unique opportunities for students to grow both as musicians
and as valuable citizens of tomorrow. Maintaining and evolving these quality
programs, however, depends on outside private and institutional funding. Contributions
to the school make possible scholarships and fellowships, recruiting and retaining
outstanding faculty, nurturing new programs, addressing equipment needs, and
improving facilities.
A contribution to the Bienen School of Music may take many
forms. For further information on any of the programs listed below, please
contact Oliver Ionita, Director of Development for the Bienen
School of Music, at 847-491-7154 or at oliver-ionita@northwestern.edu.
Annual Fund
Gifts to the annual fund are unrestricted and may be directed to the Bienen
School of Music or to Pick-Staiger
Concert Hall, which is a part of the school. By contributing to this fund,
you are literally making a difference in the daily lives of music students
by providing the flexibility to address the School's essential, day-to-day
needs.

Lutkin Society
Those contributing $1,000 or more become members of the Lutkin Society, which
was founded in 2002 in honor of the school's first dean, Peter Christian Lutkin.
Members receive invitations to special programs and events at the school in
addition to recognition in concert programs and some school publications.
Lutkin Society members are also included in the Northwestern
University Leadership Circle, a newly formed University-wide giving society.
The Leadership Circle brings together donors from across the University who
annually support the school at the leadership level.
Lutkin Society giving levels are:
- Founders’ Circle ($50,000 or more)
- President’s Circle ($25,000 - 49,999)
- Dean’s Circle ($10,000 - 24,999)
- John Evans Circle ($5,000 - 9,999)
- Fellow ($2,500 - 4,999)
- Member ($1,000 - 2,499)
