Participants - $600; Auditors $450
A jam-packed week of master classes, clinics, technique labs, listening sessions,
orchestral and marimba repertoire classes, section coaching, and sessions on
African/Latin/Brazilian styles, ragtime improvisation, cymbals, Delecluse and
Tompkins etudes, body movement, music and the brain, memorization, score study,
performance practice, and more. The symposium is intended for professionals
and serious college students; top-level high school performers will also be
considered.
She-e Wu is associate professor of percussion at Northwestern’s Bienen
School of Music. She has performed as a solo artist at festivals and conventions
world-wide in addition to numerous appearances as recitalist and clinician
at U.S. and European universities and conservatories.
To apply please submit a resume, the registration form and the $600
fee. Participants
are limited to 40. There is no limit to the number of auditors. The
deadline for participant applications is June 15. The fee for auditing is $450.
