The Conservatory Project is an initiative of the Kennedy Center’s “Performing
Arts for Everyone” Millennium Stage. It is a semi-annual
event occurring in February and May, designed to present the
best young musical artists in classical jazz, musical theater,
opera and more from the nation’s leading undergraduate
and graduate conservatories, colleges and universities. The Conservatory
Project provides free daily performances at 5 p.m. CDT.
Twice a year, the nation’s leading music schools are invited
to send students to the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theatre
to introduce top new talent to the public. Project participants
have the opportunity to be critiqued by world-renowned musicians.
