Renowned clarinetist Karl Leister (see next listing) gives a
three-hour master class. Attend the event at Regenstein Recital

World-renowned clarinetist Karl
Leister was a child prodigy who first studied clarinet
with his father, also a famous German clarinetist. Winner of
numerous awards at international music competitions, he became
a solo clarinetist with the Komische Oper Berlin at age 19 and
went on to play as principal clarinetist with the Berlin Philharmonic
Orchestra for 30 years while enjoying an international
career as a soloist and chamber musician. His program includes
music by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Schumann.

Pick-Staiger Concert Hall and the Northwestern University School
of Music, in conjunction with Northwestern University's Academic
Technologies, will present the master class LIVE on the Web.
