Percussion Ensemble to Perform at Percussive
Arts Society's International Convention as Winner
of the 2007 PAS International
Percussion Ensemble Competition

EVANSTON—As winner of the 2007 Percussive Arts Society (PAS) International Percussion Ensemble Competition, the Northwestern University Percussion Ensemble will perform a showcase concert at the 2007 PAS International Convention in Columbus, Ohio. The performance will take place on Saturday, November 3, at 10 am.  Directed by Michael Burritt, the Ensemble comprises Catherine Barnes, Mark Boseman Matthew Coley, John Corkill, Dan Davis, Veronica Donovan, Joseph Gonzalez, Heather Gross, Chris Jones, Chris Lizak, Peter Martin, Chris Riggs, Alan Stewart and Ian Weinberger.  In addition to winning the 2007 competition, the Ensemble also captured first place in 1996 and 2002, each time under the direction of Burritt.
