Solo and collaborative performances throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Far East. Recordings of Debussy on Cadenza Classics, chamber music on Newport Classics and Boston Records, contemporary American music on Northeastern and CRI. Winner and finalist in various competitions, including Royal Overseas League Festival in London, AVANTI award leading to a debut in London's Purcell Room, Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition, J.S. Bach International Piano Competition. Honorary Associate, Royal Academy of Music in London. Presented as guest teacher/panelist by organizations such as The Chautauqua Institution, United States Information Service, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Yamaha Music Malaysia. Students have won awards at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, Union League Competition, Tokyo International Piano Duo Competition, Shostakovich Competition in St. Petersburg. Studied with David Burge at the Eastman School of Music and with Hamish Milne and Dennis Murdoch at the Royal Academy of Music as an Associated Board scholar.

Author of Measures
of Creative Thinking in Music, an exploratory tool for assessing music
thinking using quasi-improvisational tasks. Coauthor of book and DVD Experiencing
Music Technology (Thomson/Schirmer,
2006) and over 70 book chapters and articles on technology, music cognition,
and children's creative thinking in music and its assessment. Presents at many
state, national, and international meetings and is a frequent keynote speaker.
Supervise student teaching. Directs the PhD Program in Music Education and
leads the Center for the Study of Education and the Music Experience (CSEME).
Editorial board member, Journal of Research in Music Education, Journal for
Technology in Music Learning, International Journal of Education in the Arts,
Research Studies in Music Education, and the Asia-Pacific Journal for Arts
Education. Also teaches in the music cognition and music technology programs.

Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Studied under Robert Schietroma,
Leigh Howard Stevens, Ed Soph, and Tzong-Ching Ju. Member of the Bob Becker
Ensemble. Convention appearances as a solo artist include Percussive Arts Society
International Conventions, National Percussion Convention of Spain, and the
International Percussion Convention. Festival appearances as a solo artist
include Journées de la Percussion, NancyPhony Festival, perKumania Festival,
PercuPassion Festival, Back Symposium/Bach Variation Festival at Lincoln Center
for the Performing Arts, International Percussion Festival, and Giornate della
Percussione in Italy. Active composer, with premieres at the Journées
de la Percussion festival and the Taipei International Percussion Convention.
Guest recitalist and clinician at universities and conservatories in France,
Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, England and Germany. Served as judge for the
PAS Composition Competition and International Percussion Ensemble Competition.
