James Ross has been a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1979. He frequently plays on the Chicago Symphony Chamber Music Series and was formerly affiliated with the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. Active chamber musician, he has performed and recorded with Chicago Pro Musica, Chamber Music Chicago, Contemporary Chamber Players, Summit Brass, and Vermeer Quartet. A frequent presenter of master classes and clinics at international conventions, Ross is a coach for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago percussion section.
