Audition dates may be requested on our website no later than January 1. If you do not request a date, a day and time will be assigned automatically.

Audition dates are assigned to applicants upon completion of all required application materials. Undergraduates wishing to request a specific campus audition day should do so through our Online Undergraduate Audition Request Form.

Please be advised that space may be limited on particular audition dates. The date you request is not guaranteed, so please wait to make any travel plans until you have received written confirmation of your audition day and time. You will be notified approximately four weeks prior to your audition.

2012 Campus Audition Dates

Auditions for the Bachelor of Music may be done on campus or by submitting a recording via our Audition Dropbox. If you cannot complete a live audition, your audition must be uploaded to the Audition Dropbox no later than February 1.

Audition Confirmation

• All audition confirmations are made by e-mail to the address you list in the Common Application, so add musiclife@northwestern.edu to your e-mail address book and check your spam folder regularly.
• Even if your instrument requires prescreening, request a date as soon as possible. Do not wait to be invited.
• Changing an audition appointment can be very difficult. Any request for a change of date must be made in writing, at least two weeks in advance, by e-mail only to musiclife@northwestern.edu. A change is possible only if we have had a cancellation.
