MMusEd, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Director of Athletic Bands, the National High School Music Institute, and conductor of the "Wildcat" Marching Band and Concert Band. In addition to his ensemble duties, Dan Farris teaches courses in conducting and marching band techniques. He is the former assistant director of bands and director of the marching band at both Illinois State University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has also served as a director and consultant for the Walt Disney World Collegiate All-Star Band as well as a teacher in the Minnesota and Wisconsin public schools. Farris is a member of the College Band Director National Association, National Band Association, International Association of Jazz Educators, and is an honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma/Kappa Kappa Psi.
