Blair Milton has been a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1975.  He has performed as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Georg Solti, the Chicago String Ensemble, Kingston Symphony, and the Montreal Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Milton has been heard with the Ravinia Festival, Aspen Festival, and Chicago Symphony Allied Arts Series at Orchestra Hall, and with Yo-Yo Ma, Pinchas Zukerman, and Daniel Barenboim.  He is a founding member of the Evanston Chamber Ensemble. Milton has given master classes at universities in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Germany and is also director of the string program for the National High School Music Institute at Northwestern University, where he also founded the Winter Chamber Music Festival.  Milton studied with Josef Gingold at Indiana University and with Ivan Galamian
