The
Bienen School of Music sponsors 16 major ensembles, several of
which are open to non-music majors as well as members of the
Evanston community. Each organization offers approximately
three major performances each academic year.
Placement in ensembles is based on a performance audition, and
priority is given to students fulfilling degree requirements
for their major.

Symphony Orchestra
A select ensemble that performs standard symphonic repertoire.

Baroque Music Ensemble
Performs music written before 1800
on both period and modern instruments performs with an emphasis
on masterworks from the Baroque period. The ensemble is open
to performers on modern instruments and period instruments and
singers of every voice-type. At least one performance is given
each quarter.
